E-Newsletter Provides Science Lessons

Science teachers looking for ways to enhance science instruction can sign up for Science Monthly, a free e-mail newsletter produced by Learning Network and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). The theme-based newsletter is produced for K-12 educators and provides timely activities, lesson plans and resources for quality science instruction. The first issue is centered on animal adaptations, with upcoming topics to include nutrition, classroom safety, careers in science, and assessment. The lessons are culled from NSTA's archives of award-winning journals, including Science & Children, Science Scope and The Science Teacher, as well as books by NSTA Press. A host of other lessons are provided by Learning Network. The newsletter will also be published during the summer, giving teachers an opportunity to plan special projects before the school year begins.

Teachers may sign up to receive the newsletter and view Science Monthly archives at www.teachervision.com/tv/lounge/newsletter/science. Learning Network, Boston, MA, (800) 323-4776, www.learningnetwork.com.
