The ArithmAttack

With The ArithmAttack, elementary school teachers and students can find out how many mathematical problems students can solve in 60 seconds. This upgraded version of the free game randomly creates problems using numbers that the user sets between zero and 25. Users can focus exclusively on addition, subtraction, multiplication or division, or let the game choose at random. The U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory offers the program as a free download to anyone who wants to learn or teach mathematics. A .Zip file can be downloaded at www.anl.gov/OPA/attack.htm. An earlier JavaScript version for non-Windows computers can be played or downloaded at www.dep.anl.gov/aattack.htm.
