Web Site, Videos Offer Character Education Resources

Live Wire Media, the makers of character education videos, is bringing the tenets of character - caring, citizenship, fairness, respect, responsibility, trustworthiness and giving - to the classroom through a new Web site, www.goodcharacter.com. K-12 educators, coaches and youth group leaders who visit the site will find free resources organized by topic and grade level. The site also has curriculum materials, discussion questions, writing assignments, group learning activities, opportunities for student action and teacher support materials.

In addition to the site, Live Wire Media is distributing its 10-part video series titled "In Search of Character" for use in middle school and high school classrooms. The videos in the series directly address the elements of good character, as named in the newly passed federal education act. The videos also come with teaching guides. Live Wire Media, San Francisco, CA, (800) 359-5437, www.goodcharacter.com.
