Nonprofit Plans Virtual Global Crossing

N2geo Inc., a nonprofit charitable organization, plans to produce a virtual expedition that will travel to every country and post high-quality rich media on its Web site, www.n2geo.org, as well as on future distribution channels. The expedition will attempt to reach 193 countries, which is based on a list of recognized sovereign states as determined by the International Olympic Committee, the U.S. State Department and the United Nations. The three-year expedition will consist of permanent and rotational content-development specialists, regional experts as well as other professionals. To accompany the expedition, the organization has launched a resource section on its site called n2countries with information about every country's geography, politics, economics and history. The site is expected to expand as the expedition gets underway.

n2geo says it will work closely with students and various schools to ensure children are exposed to world issues and inspired to become more globally aware citizens. They also plan to produce live satellite Webcasts, special educational content and a Student Guru program, which offers students a chance to help produce content and be regional representatives. n2geo, Tucson, AZ, and Brooklyn, NY, (520) 529-5699, www.n2geo.org.
