M-eye Digital Camera

Ken-A-Vision has created a unique digital camera that allows students and teachers to capture still photographs from a microscope. The M-eye digital camera ($549) features a 1.3 megapixel output and 16 MB of embedded internal memory. It comes with a 28 mm microscope adapter and a wrist strap for portability. The camera offers built-in memory capable of capturing up to 220 images (20 at SXGA, 90 at XGA and 220 at VGA), and includes a software package that brings full-screen video and photo editing tools to inspire and motivate students. The M-eye can take digital stills or record full-motion images with sound. In addition, the digital camera offers auto exposure, white balance and a flash that works when the camera is hooked to a computer with its 2-meter cable. The camera can also run off of four AAA batteries. Ken-A-Vision, (800) 501-7366, www.ken-a-vision.com.
