Datastrip's ID Cards, Bar Code Scanner Ensure Student Protection

New "safe student" ID cards by Datastrip (www.datastrip.com) are being used to help protect children in schools from abduction. The cards are constructed of Datastrip's 2-D bar code, which is encoded with the names and photographs of students and the adults who are authorized to pick them up, as well as students' emergency numbers and medical data. In order to scan the cards, school personnel rely on portable bar code readers like Datastrip's DSVerify2D bar code scanner. This scanner is the only handheld device capable of reading and displaying biometric and photographic information. Therefore, this specific bar code reader is the only one able to decode the cards; protecting the students' personal information.
