Painter IX (www.corel.com/education) is the latest version of the advanced painting and illustration application that is designed to capture the intricate nuances of traditional art while taking advantage of digital media’s power. The program can be used in the classroom for such activities as filmmaking, game development, commercial design, illustration, photography or fine arts. It also features new and improved brush control palettes, snap-to-path painting, as well as enhanced support for Adobe Photoshop and Wacom pen tablets.
