T.H.E. Journal Announces New Look, Targeted Focus

Chatsworth, CA. November 8, 2005—T.H.E. Journal, the original education technology publication designed to assist administrators, technologists, and educators in the use of technology to improve teaching and administration, has introduced a new format, expanded content, and targeted K-12 focus with its November issue.

The magazine features a 'from-the-ground-up' redesign, fresh new look, and slightly larger page size, which mirrors its sister publication covering the higher education technology market, Campus Technology. T.H.E. Journal will continue its feature coverage of practitioners solving technology issues in the classroom, and has added new columns on a wide variety of technology issues facing K-12 districts and schools.

“Each issue of T.H.E. Journal will now be dedicated to more in-depth K-12 technology news and reporting—‘drill down’ information that will assist administrators, technology coordinators, and teachers to improve the way they do their jobs,” said Katherine Grayson, editor-in-chief of T.H.E. Journal.

Some of the new column focuses include Hardware, Software, Networking, Smart Classroom, Mobile Computing/Wireless, Security, Professional Development, the Net, eLearning, Technology Funding, Policy and Advocacy, Tech Support, and even Kids on Technology. News, product, event, and show coverage will also be included each month, along with Industry and School Perspective pages for reader/practitioner commentary.

“We’re excited to offer our readers and advertisers this expanded content and coverage of new technologies affecting K-12 education,” said Wendy La Duke, publisher of T.H.E. Journal. “T.H.E. has proudly served the education market for more than 32 years, and was the pioneer in providing credible, authoritative information on technology for administration and teaching. This is simply the next step in our evolution, and will continue our tradition as the premier education technology media resource in the market.”
