1105 Media Acquires Education Plaza

Chatsworth, CA--October 4, 2007--1105 Media Inc., announced today that it has acquired Education Plaza, the first Web-based, state-specific resource and information center designed to assist K-12 administrators with their purchasing decisions. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"We are delighted to add such an exciting and cutting-edge online business to our company," said Neal Vitale, President and CEO of 1105. "This acquisition is an important step in helping our education marketplace customers connect with the appropriate products and services they need for their classrooms, schools, and districts."

Education Plaza operates on a partnership basis with state Superintendents and School Board Associations, delivering an online buyers marketplace for the education community. In addition to offering targeted product information on a state-by-state basis, Education Plaza will draw on 1105 Media's print, audio, and video education-related resources.

"We are excited to be joining 1105 Media's Education Group, with its rich array of content and services," said Michael Glover and Pam Nelson, Education Plaza Co-Founders. "As part of this market-leading franchise, we will be able to expand the reach and services of Education Plaza to the benefit of both the state associations and the vendors we serve."

The 1105 Media Education Group, led by Group Publisher Wendy LaDuke, includes the monthly T.H.E. Journal and Campus Technology publications, three websites, nine eNewsletters, and live events for both the K-12 and higher education markets, including FETC, FETC-CUE, and the Campus Technology conferences.

"The strategic acquisition of Education Plaza gives us another way to provide needed information to the education community," said LaDuke. "It also offers our advertisers an additional opportunity to share information on their latest education products and services with key school district decision-makers."

"We at the Texas Association of School Administrators are proud to have played a role in the creation of Education Plaza, and being their first state partner," said Johnny Veselka, Executive Director of the TASA.. "Our members are already benefiting from this service, and we expect even greater levels of usage and additional benefits as a result of this new support and ownership."
