Study: American Public Concerned over State of Science Education

Think of the old Bazooka Joe one-liner: "The food is terrible, and the portions are too small." Grasp that, and you'll have an inkling of attitudes toward science education in the United States, where 44 percent of U.S. adults grade the quality of science education in this country at a "C" level or lower, and 79 percent say there isn't enough attention being given to it. This according to a new survey released by the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, "The State of Science in America," the aim of which was to gauge attitudes of "average" Americans toward science and science education....

Vantage, 8e6 Partner for Safe Search for Schools

Ed tech developer Vantage Learning and security technology provider 8e6 have teamed up to launch a new secure Internet search engine designed specifically for K-12 school districts. Citrix, HP Team Up on Embedded Hypervisor

Citrix has become the latest entry into the increasingly crowded field of embedded hypervisors. The Fort Lauderdale, FL-based company Thursday announced a deal to embed a small, lightweight version of its standard hypervisor, XenServer, into ProLiant brand servers from HP. Called Citrix XenServer HP Select Edition, the hypervisor will come pre-installed, giving customers the opportunity to try virtualization out of the box....
