iQ Academy Launches Virtual School in Minnesota

iQ Academy Minnesota announced the launch of a new online school for Minnesota students, grades 6 through 12. Now enrolling for the 2008-2009 school year, the program provides tuition-free education, small-group instruction, and one-on-one teacher interaction in a virtual classroom environment.
A nationally recognized online school, iQ Minnesota's accredited program allows students to excel at their own pace, providing certified teacher instruction in courses ranging from English and math to Advanced Placement classes. Other curricular offerings include virtual science labs, as well as a variety of world language courses.
"Any student living in Minnesota can take advantage of this online education option," said Molly Johnson, Operations Manager of iQ Academy Minnesota, in a recent announcement, "including previously home-schooled students, athletes, performers and others with special needs, as well as students seeking Advanced Placement courses or electives unavailable in their local school district. iQ Academy is focused on providing Minnesota students the highest quality education to provide a solid foundation for pursuing their passions and future goals."
In addition to a school-provided laptop, students enrolled in the program receive all required textbooks, as well as a monthly Internet stipend to offset the costs associated with class participation.
