Florida Schools Upgrade Administrative Systems

School management system provider Skyward announced this week its administrative management software has been selected by St. Lucie County Public Schools and Okeechobee County Schools of Florida, making them the first districts in that state to implement the company's software.
According to the company, St. Lucie County Schools was in need of a replacement solution for their outdated legacy system, no longer adequate for the 40,000-student district. After going through the lengthy review and RFP process, the district settled on Skyward for complete administrative and financial support.
Engaged in a 20-year administrative software partnership with St. Lucie schools, neighboring Okeechobee County Schools will also implement Skyward's system in their 10-school, 7,000-student district.
Both St. Lucie Public Schools and Okeechobee plan to have the new system in place in time for the 2009-2010 school year.
