College and career planning services provider ConnectEDU announced that it's acquired Prep Headquarters, an online college planning service currently used in more than 700 high schools in the United States.

According to ConnectEDU, the acquisition will create a network of more than 2,000 high schools, providing counselors, students, and parents with information and resources intended to aid in the transition from high school to college to career.

"The acquisition of Prep HeadQuarters establishes ConnectEDU's National Network of high schools, colleges and employers as the nation's largest, integrated solution assisting counselors and families," said Craig Powell, president & CEO of ConnectEDU, in an announcement released last week. "In addition to acquiring Prep HeadQuarters and its loyal client base, we have also acquired the entire services and support capabilities of Prep HeadQuarters to accelerate our commitment to providing superior services and support to all of our users."

According to the announcement, the entire support team from Prep HeadQuarters will join ConnectEDU. A Midwest support center has also been established in Chicago.
