Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove, GA recently implemented technology from AeroScout as a safety application to track visitors in real time over its WiFi network.
The 168-acre campus for Strong Rock includes an elementary school, middle school, and high school. All campus visitors, including parents, contractors, and outside vendors, are provided with AeroScout T2 Tags that communicate with the school's Cisco Unified Wireless Network, which also provides Internet access to faculty and students.
AeroScout'sMobileView software displays the location of each person wearing a clip-on tag in real time on a map of the campus monitored by school security. If a visitor, such as a repairperson, is not in his or her intended destination on campus, the system alerts security.
AeroScout's technology is more typically used to locate and track inventory.
