The updated connectivity server will provide Windows Server 2008 and Vista compatibility to schools utilizing wireless networks. The new version also provides enhanced Internet metering and control, including https support; individual page control (allowing for a site to blocked, but individual pages within it cleared for use); and the ability to monitor IM client dialogue, or block its use completely.

Other features include "student thumbnails," providing a zoomable snapshot view of all classroom computers; an enhanced whiteboard feature, providing an expanded toolset and simplified collaboration; and a new Teacher Toolbar, with a "Request Assistance" feature, providing instant chat with available technicians.

The updated software is available for immediate download from the company's Web site here.
