Classroom Walkthrough 3.0 Expands Reporting Capabilities

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Teachscape has launched the new version of its instructional enhancement technology Classroom Walkthrough. Through brief classroom visits, CWT allows instructional leaders to obtain an overview of the teaching and learning process and to track instructional data as it relates to student performance.

The CWT technology relies heavily on research-based indicators called "look fors." These "look fors" allow instructional leaders to evaluate individual teaching methods, record and track various statistical data, and make substantive recommendations pertaining to instructors' professional development. Available data tracking tools include charts and graphs, timeline comparisons, goal mapping and data searches using custom criteria.

Version 3.0 notably allows users to create their own custom "look fors" using data and analysis templates they design according to the needs of their individual districts, schools, and educators. In addition, the new version offers enhanced reporting for comparing and tracking collected data and a hierarchical management system that allows users to create customized systems of data organization, or "Walks," tailored to the needs and goals of specific user groups within a district, such as a math department with underperforming classes that needs to monitor certain aspects of instructors' pedagogies for reaching students with concepts, analysis, and overall comprehension.
