Q1 Labs has enhanced its log management and auditing tool, QRadar Log Manager (formerly branded as QRadar SLIM). The product allows users to collect, analyze, and store log data from all devices, systems, and applications on a network.
This latest release includes several new features and functions that are focused specifically on improving operational efficiencies and lowering total cost of ownership, including:
- A real-time log viewer that integrates historical searching, log aggregation views, and a streaming view of logs and alerts;
- Forensic capabilities that enable security teams or individual users to drill down from summarized data to log details;
- Asynchronous log searches for many concurrent users, which allow customers to perform multiple, longer term historical searches and still leverage the system for real-time operational tasks; and
- Thousands of pre-defined reports, correlation rules, and default log searches to support compliance with PCI DSS, NERC, HIPAA, and SOX.
QRadar Log Manager can also be upgraded via a software license key to Q1 Labs' QRadar SIEM solution as requirements change and a more comprehensive network security management system is needed.
"QRadar Log Manager empowers organizations with a full-featured and easy-to-use log management solution. It delivers in-depth searching and proactive analysis and reporting of all log data in order to meet both their immediate and expanding compliance and risk management needs," said Tom Turner, vice president of marketing and channel sales at Q1 Labs. "Unlike existing first-generation log management products, our customers can initially deploy QRadar Log Manager and then cost-effectively upgrade to QRadar SIEM without needing to hire expensive professional services resources to deploy additional hardware or software--saving them time and money--which allows them to efficiently leverage their initial investment."
QRadar Log Manager is scheduled to be available in the fall with a starting list price of $31,000.
