Atlona Launches 2x4 HDMI 1.3 Distribution Amplifier

Atlona Technologies has released an AV switcher that uses two HDMI sources and mirrors one of those sources on up to four HD displays.

Created by Lenexpo in 2003, Atlona Technologies currently manufactures a line of AV products ranging from AV switches to plenum cables to projector mounts.

The AV switcher, dubbed the AT-HD-V214, leverages an HDMI 1.3 platform to transfer computer resolutions up to WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) and HDTV resolutions up to 1080i/p.

High definition audio is supported by the switcher in the form of Dolby Digital TrueHD (up to 10.1 channels) and DTS-HD high definition audio codecs.

Other features include data transfer rates up to 6.75 Gbps and the ability to control the switch via an RS-232 feed.
