Bretford Debuts Flat-Panel Lectern, Launches Video Competition

Bretford debuted a new flat-panel lectern at the InfoComm 2010 convention happening this week in Las Vegas. The company also unveiled a new AV cart and power system and kicked off a video competition for educators.

The flat-panel lectern, called "Rhombii," supports a vertically mounted 40-inch flat panel display that can be used to show graphics and logos during lectures and speeches.

The lectern features wheels for mobility and can be purchased with an optional solid wood front panel.

Also launched at the InfoComm event, the PAL AV cart comes with a top pullout shelf, two accessory shelves, and a lower cabinet with 19-inch rails.

The cart offers an antimicrobial finish--to prevent fungus, mold, and mildew from accumulating--and security features that include a lock and key system, as well as fully welded components. The cart comes in black or grey and can be purchased fully assembled, with an optional thru port and power supply.

Bretford's other new release, the Juice Power System, features the ability to daisy chain power supplies on multiple desks. Other features include mounting brackets and four outlets and surge protection.

Available in July, the Juice Power System will be priced at $150. The AV cart, which is currently available, sells for anywhere from $880 to $1,664, depending on options. The flat-panel lectern will ship in the second half of 2010.

Bretford has also launched a new video contest for educators. The Oldest Product Video Contest, which kicked off earlier this week, will award the winner by furnishing a room, accommodating up to 30 people, with Bretford's furniture. All educators and business professionals who purchase or use Bretford furniture can participate by sending Bretford a video clip, no longer than two minutes in length, of the oldest Bretford product they have in use. Entrants are required to show proof of employment and send all submissions before July 31, 2010.

Bretford is demonstrating its new technologies at InfoComm 2010 in booth N2339.
