Brief: Texas Launches Afterschool Activity Database

The Texas Afterschool Centers on Education has launched the Texas ACE Activity Collection, a database of after school activities.

The new database allows out-of-school-time practitioners to search activities and lesson plans according to a variety of criteria such as topic, objective, grade level, or audience. The lesson plans can be downloaded and modified for program objectives and are aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards. The activities also align with standards published by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills and the Texas College and Career Readiness Standards program.

ACE grantees will receive additional benefits including the ability to create and publish activities online and share modifications and best practices for activity implementation.
