Brief Bretford Debuts Powered Modular Classroom Furniture

School furniture manufacturer Bretford has introduced a new line of powered and modular tech-friendly furniture for the classroom, the EDU 2.0 system.

The line consists of a wide range of mobile and fixed systems, including mobile charging carts, interactive whiteboards, lecterns, instructor desks, computer tables, powered seating, student chair, tables, and others. Bretford said that the systems are made from 25 percent to 35 percent post-consumer recycled materials in the steel components and 70 percent recycled materials in the work surface substrates. The company said it's also seeking Greenguard Indoor Air Quality certification.

The systems will formally launch next month at the InfoComm 2011, EduComm 2011, and NeoCon 2011 conferences. Further details can be found on Bretford's site here.
