Castle Rock Research Launches Mobile Homework App

Castle Rock Research has launched Motuto, a mobile homework assistance app for iOS devices.

Motuto connects students to live tutors via chat and includes an interactive whiteboard where students can draw, type, and upload pictures of their problems.

The free app is designed for students in grades 7 through 12 and covers topics in math and science.

Students begin by choosing the subject and topic they need help with, and are then paired with a tutor. The tutor then provides help through chat, whiteboard, and lessons from the Castle Rock Research database. Afterward, the student will receive an email summary of the session with screenshots and a chat transcript for later review.

Motuto is currently available as a free download in the iTunes App Store, and will soon be available for Android devices, according to information released by the company. Tutoring sessions cost $4.99 for the first 20 minutes and $1.99 for each additional 20 minutes. Students who download the app before June 15 will receive their first tutoring session free.

More information about Motuto is available at motuto.com. The app can be downloaded here.
