Acumen Solutions Launches Customizable SIS
Acumen Solutions has released SchoolForce, a student information system with open standards and Google Apps integration.
SchoolForce, delivered as Software-as-a-Service, includes modules such as attendance, homework, behavior, student records, collaboration, document management, and a gradebook compliant with Common Core State Standards. ShoolForce also allows all modules to be shared with parents and students online.
Schools and districts using SchoolForce also have access to the system's source code, giving them the ability to extend and customize it to their own needs. Apps and curricula can then be shared with other schools using SchoolForce on Acumen's AppExchange.
SchoolForce is currently being offered for free, though a subscription to salesforce.com is required.
