InFocus Launches 2 DLP Projectors for Large Venues


The IN5312 can project images up to 172 inches in width.

InFocus has rolled out two 3D capable projectors for use in lecture halls, conference rooms, and auditoriums.

The new projectors consist of the IN5312, a 1,024 x 768 (XGA) model with a brightness of 4,500 lumens, and the IN5314, a 1,280 x 800 (WXGA) model with a brightness of 4,000 lumens. Both projectors have a contrast ratio of 2,000:1.

Features include:

  • A filter-free design;
  • Digital horizontal keystone correction of ±20 degrees;
  • Manual lens shift of +5 degrees horizontal and -40 degrees vertical;
  • An economy mode designed to extend the estimated lamp life from 1,500 hours to 2,000 hours;
  • A 1.25:1 zoom lens; and
  • Two 3-watt speakers.

The IN5312 can project an image ranging in width from 29.4 inches to 172 inches while the IN5314 produces an image ranging in width from 29.1 inches to 169.6 inches. A short throw fixed lens and a long throw 1.6x zoom lens are also available for both models.

The projectors weigh 10.56 pounds and have dimensions of  4.1 inches by 15.8 inches by 12.5 inches.

AV inputs include HDMI, DVI, 5BNC, analog RGB/component (mini D-sub 15-pin), component, S-video, composite video, stereo RCA jacks, and a stereo minijack. AV outputs and peripherals ports include analog RGB/component (mini D-sub 15-pin), stereo minijack, RJ-45, RS-232, USB mini B, and USB type B. An optional wireless adapter can also be used to transmit data at distances of up to 300 feet.

The IN5312 and the IN5314 are covered by a 5-year product warranty, a 6-month lamp warranty, and a 90-day accessory warranty.

Both projectors currently ship for $3,500.
