ManageEngine Adds Cisco Video to NetFlow Analyzer

A company with a program for monitoring network traffic has just upgraded its application to add reporting of Cisco Medianet performance. Version 9.5 of NetFlow Analyzer from ManageEngine adds video traffic monitoring as well as user interface enhancements.

NetFlow Analyzer collects data about Cisco NetFlow, IPFIX, sFlow, J-Flow, AppFlow, cflowd, NetStream, and Cisco NBAR, CBQoS, and Medianet to provide visibility on network bandwidth usage. Administrators can use the information to troubleshoot traffic bottlenecks, perform baselining, and help in capacity planning.

The addition of Cisco Medianet video traffic to that monitoring list, the company said, will let network administrators monitor the quality of video traffic and take actions to improve the viewer's experience.

"Video can bring an enterprise network to its knees," said Vijayarangakannan Rajkumar, ManageEngine product manager. "We worked diligently to improve the usability of NetFlow Analyzer. In large part, that meant supporting those use cases being embraced by our customers, and video is certainly one of their highest-profile applications."

The newly revamped program also offers a new grid view that allows users to view the devices being monitored from one location and gain access to statistics for specific devices with a single click.

ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer starts at $795. The company makes a 30-day trial version available with full functionality.
