Shmoop Expands Free Online College Readiness Guide

Academic publisher Schmoop University has updated a college readiness guide available on its website. This web-based resource, intended to help high school students get through studies and college entrance exams, provides crash courses on how to prepare for the SAT, PSAT, ACT, CAHSEE, ISEE, SAT Subject Tests, and advanced placement exams. The site offers advice on admission essays and financial aid, provides study tips for test preparation, and allows users to track their progress.

Users can also sign up for additional content for each of those test areas for fees ranging from $13 to $23. Shmoop Test Prep for the SAT, for example, includes three full-length practice tests, flash cards, a thousand practice problems, 1,453 vocabulary words, and reports and statistics.

School- and district-based licensing is also available with record-keeping features to help educators keep track of license statistics and individual student progress.
