Califone Debuts Headsets For Young Learners

Califone this week debuted its new Listening First headsets, featuring built-in microphone and kid-friendly design, created for use by kindergarten, primary grade, and special needs students.

The adjustable, kid-sized headsets—available in three color and three animal-theme designs—come with ambient noise-reducing earcups made of ABS plastic and dual 3.5 mm, USB and single To Go plugs, for use with computers or mobile devices. The headset's microphone includes reinforced boom.

"The Listening First headsets were developed in response to how younger students are learning using computers and mobile devices with classmates, in read-alongs, online and through their production of podcasts and videos," said Tim Ridgway, vice president of marketing for Califone, in a prepared statement from the company. "There was a need based on these activities for age-appropriate equipment."

The Listening First headsets come with a two-year warranty. Additional information about the devices can be found at the company's Web site.
