The collaboration "will also bring hundreds of HMH titles to Samsung's Learning Hub platform," according to information released by the companies.

With personalized lesson plans and interactive materials, HMH Fuse for Android will be optimized for Samsung's Galaxy Tab 2 line of tablets, offering users the ability to work on problems in Fuse's scratch pad with the Galaxy Note's S Pen technology. Editions of HMH Fuse coming to Android include National Algebra 1, Common Core Algebra 1, Common Core Algebra 2, and Common Core Geometry.

Features of HMH Fuse include:

  • Animated step-by-step instructions;
  • Instant feedback;
  • The ability to save notes;
  • More than 400 video tutorials, even without Internet access; and
  • Individual student assessments at the end of each chapter.

"Samsung believes that innovative technology can empower educators and enable a more engaging learning environment for students," said Bumcoo Cho, Samsung's senior vice president of the enterprise business team, mobile communications division, in a prepared statement. "This partnership with HMH is an important part of our commitment to providing both teachers and students with rich, interactive educational content across our GALAXY tablet lineup and through the Learning Hub application."

Samsung and HMH are showcasing their tools, including HMH Fuse for Android, at TCEA 2013 February 6-8 in Austin, TX. Samsung can be found in booth 2570 and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt is in booth 2227.
