Devolutions Revs Remote Desktop Manager Online

Devolutions has launched version 2.0 of Remote Desktop Manager Online, the cloud-based repository for Remote Desktop Manager (RDM).

Remote Desktop Manager is an "all-in-one management platform for IT teams" that lets users store and manage their remote desktop connections, passwords, and credentials on a single platform. Remote Desktop Manager Online, a separate product, is designed to complement RDM. It stores remote connection settings, virtual machine connections, and other sensitive data in the cloud.

According to the company, Remote Desktop Manager Online 2.0 features an improved user interface, increased speed, and improved overall performance. It's also ready to integrate with an upcoming cross-platform Mac and mobile-ready version of RDM. According to David Hervieux, CEO and founder of Devolutions, some RDM users are unaware of RDM Online, and he said he hopes the features of this new version, as well as its integration with the upcoming cross-platform version of RDM, will draw more users to RDM Online.

Key features of Remote Desktop Manager Online 2.0 include:

  • Access to online data sources and all remote connections through any Internet-enabled device;
  • Secure AES data encryption; and
  • Ability to add users, manage security groups, and share sessions with IT teams.

Remote Desktop Manager Online 2.0 is available by annual subscription. A free version supports up to 15 sessions, and the basic version supports up to 500 sessions. Professional and Enterprise versions are also available and offer significantly more sessions and additional features, such as serial vault services, unlimited multi-user support, session document attachments, and additional security management features, such as built-in database user support, security groups, per-session security access, custom database encryption with passphrase, and per-user and per-machine setting/credential custom values.
