MaxxCat Adds Custom Thesauruses, Promoted Results to Google Mini Replacements

MaxxCat has upgraded the search appliances covered by its Google Mini Replacement Program to allow users to add custom thesauruses and more easily promote results.

The custom thesaurus feature allows users to create and load synonyms to "offer relevant results for industry specific synonyms, allowing the customer to tailor the list to their needs," according to a company news release. The addition of promoted results gives administrators the ability to link specific search terms with a particular URL to point users toward pages that are more relevant to their query even when the contents do not suggest such.

The new features, along with overall improvements to speed and efficiency, are currently available to EX-5000 and SB-350 users under the Mini Replacement Program.

More information about the program is available at maxxcat.com.
