T.H.E. Journal Announces New Advisory Board Members for 2013-2015
Chatsworth,  CA — 1105 Media Education Group and T.H.E. Journal, the  nation's leading magazine covering technology in K-12 education, today  announces a new advisory board that will help guide the magazine in its new  life as a multimedia publication.
"We  are about to complete our first year as an all-digital magazine and we are  ready for a new set of minds and sensibilities to help us serve our readers in  ways that are congruent with 21st century teaching and learning," said Therese Mageau,  editorial director of 1105 Media Education Group, the publisher of T.H.E. Journal. "The board that we have  assembled is truly exemplary in their individual and combined expertise in  leveraging technology to deliver world-class education and educational  experiences. We expect them to help us deliver the same to our readers." 
  The  new T.H.E. Journal advisory board  consists of eight leaders who will serve a two-year term. They represent a  diverse group of institutions, including public school districts and organizations  that serve K-12 education:

In addition to the eight  two-year board members, Judy Grissom, Superintendent  of the Rowan-Salisbury (NC) School System, will serve a special one-year term  representing her district which won the 2013 Sylvia Charp Award for District  Innovation, a prize given annually by T.H.E.  Journal and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) (http://www.iste.org/membership/awards-recognition/sylvia-charp-award),  in honor of the founding editor of T.H.E.  Journal.
T.H.E. Journal publishes monthly in online (browser)  and iPadĀ® formats. All editions include text, video, audio, animation, embedded  web sites, photo slideshows, live Internet links, and more. The advisory board  will help create the publication's editorial calendar by assisting editors in  identifying the most important issues and trends facing K-12 instructional  technology and district infrastructure. Board members will also offer insight  into monthly magazine topics as well as provide recommendations for experts and  institutions that serve as models of best practices for technology  implementation in K-12.
