California District Adopts New SIS To Ease Common Core Transition
Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) has adopted a new student information system (SIS) as part of an effort to collect student data and fully implement the Common Core State Standards.
After an extensive review process in which 15 district staff personnel selected two vendors to give full-day demonstrations, FUESD selected Infinite Campus for it's "one system, single solution approach," according to a news release.
"Infinite Campus gives FUESD the means to communicate, evaluate and educate effectively and efficiently," said Sandy Shammas, database specialist for the district, in a prepared statement. "It allows accurate reporting for state and federal programs and systems."
The district also adopted the company's Campus Food Service, Online Payments and Messenger with Voice.
The California district, with approximately 5,800 students in grades preK-8, will go live with the systems April 21.
"Infinite Campus provides FUESD with a user-friendly, intuitive interface that allows novice users to be accurate and successful with minimal guidance," added Shammas.
