LAUSD Chooses Office 365 for Faculty and Staff E-Mail

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), the second-largest district in the US, has chosen Microsoft Office 365 as its faculty and staff e-mail solution. According to a release from Microsoft, implementation of the cloud-based software will be handled by SADA Systems, a Microsoft National Systems Integrator with Gold Competency.

Ron Chandler, chief information officer of LAUSD, said, "With Office 365, we are supported by an integrated communication and collaboration platform that helps us work more efficiently and deliver better outcomes for teachers, administrators and students."

Chandler added that the move to Office 365 "also aligns with our vision for the district to move away from relying solely on our datacenter; the cloud enables us to free up resources and devote them to other mission-critical activities."
