Knovation Moves to INetU Hybrid Cloud

Hybrid cloud hosting provider INetU is partnering with Knovation to optimize uptime and performance for the company's personalized learning solutions. Knovation's education platform serves more than 27 million students and 1 million teachers in schools and districts across the United States.

Knovation turned to INetU to handle its infrastructure needs: "We wanted to offload both hardware and operating system software maintenance functions because we consider them as enablers of business, rather than part of our core business," said Ashwin Rao, VP of engineering for Knovation, in a press release. "We needed a partner who could take on the maintenance of the infrastructure for us, so we could then focus on our mission to create a paradigm shift in education."

Knovation runs a hybrid environment to allow for scalability of resources based on demand. The INetU Client Center allows the company to manage and view all aspects of its environment in one portal, including monitoring and security tools. Virtual machines can be cloned and created on demand.

"Our INetU team was very methodical about each interaction," said Rao. "The team provided complete visibility into the project and ensured that our lines of communication were streamlined for optimal efficiency." He reported that the transition to INetU was smooth, with no performance or downtime issues.

The integrated INetU team continues to work regularly with Knovation to align on projects, collaborate on correcting third-party technical updates and improve the user experience.
