Netop Launches Grant Program for Classroom Management Tools

Netop has launched its 2014 Gap Grant program, putting up $50,000 for blended learning tools.

The $1,000 grants are designed to make the company's Vision and Vision Pro classroom management tools more affordable.

"Vision gives teachers complete control over classroom computers from an easy-to-use console that shows each student computer screen," according to a company news release. "Using Vision, they can monitor student progress, engage students with on-screen demonstrations, control Web browsing and guide student learning."

Features of Vision Pro include cloud-based testing and assessment tools and high-speed screen sharing for graphics-intensive apps.

"Technology is at the very core of today's most innovative — and successful — instructional practices, such as blended learning and flipped classrooms," said Kurt Bager, CEO of Netop, in a prepared statement. "Our 2014 grant program exemplifies our commitment to ensuring that all teachers have access to the tools they need to leverage the power of the devices their students are using to improve achievement."

The deadline for grant applications, available at netop.com, is August 1.
