CourseTalk Partners with Parchment To Provide Students' Chances of Acceptance
CourseTalk will integrate Parchment's College Chances tool into its online course search and discovery platform to help students better weigh their options among colleges and universities.
College Chances provides prospective students estimates of how likely they are to be accepted to an institution before applying.
The integration is designed to inform students' "selection of online classes, and also their application strategy for colleges," according to a news release. "For example, a student interested in applying to MIT can explore the class experience through CourseTalk's ratings and leverage the college predictions tool to determine whether they might be admitted into their desired college."
"CourseTalk is another like-minded technology company that focuses on empowering students to realize their education goals," said Matthew Pittinsky, CEO of Parchment, in a prepared statement. "By integrating Parchment's novel prediction engine, students can make even more informed decisions and control of their future by determining their best college options early on."
The companies plan to further their partnership in the coming months by integrating CourseTalk's course catalog on Parchment's institution profiles.
