Learning Upgrade Offers Free Online Curriculum for Summer

Learning Upgrade is offering free access to its Web-based curriculum over the summer in an effort to help schools fight summer slide.

The company's K-8 math and English language arts courses are aligned to the Common Core and feature songs, videos and games. Students can access the platform at school or home and teachers can monitor progress and provide feedback to students and parents through online reports.

"Learning Upgrade's intuitive platform provides students with immediate feedback as well as additional support and remediation when and where students need it," according to a news release. "Once a student has demonstrated mastery of a given skill, they are automatically advanced to the next lesson."

"Combating the summer slide is a very real challenge for school and district leaders across the country. We know they are looking for resources that will engage their students, but won't break the bank," said Vinod Lobo, Learning Upgrade CEO and co-founder, in a prepared statement. "Over the past three years, Learning Upgrade has offered completely free licenses to schools or districts looking for resources that will support their students over the summer. The feedback we have received in past years has been so overwhelmingly positive, we have expanded our program for the upcoming summer."

Visit learningupgrade.com to sign up for summer access. Once there, choose the "Start Free Trial" button, then select "Sign Up" for a school license. Include the number of licenses needed in in the information box and mention summer school.
