HMH Acquires Online Learning Platform Curiosityville

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) has acquired Curiosityville, an online personalized learning environment designed to help children ages 3-8 learn through playful exploration and discovery. Curiosityville uses characters, games and activities to build a strong foundation for core learning areas such as creative expression, problem-solving and collaboration. Curiosityville’s sound effects, animation and archetypal characters are fueled by brain science research and geared towards optimal child development and learning.

The acquisition of Curiosityville also includes its proprietary data-collection and analytics engine, the Learning Tree, which provides real-time information on individual learners and personalized recommendations for online and offline learning.
