Pearson Partners with Programmr on Web-based Coding Lessons

Pearson and online coding education startup Programmr are teaming up to put a new series of step-by-step programming lessons on Pearson’s cloud learning platform.

Covering topics like HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, each lesson, called a Learning Lab, includes text explanations, screencasts, and interactive assessments. The text in each lesson is cribbed from related publications by Pearson authors.

The series is designed for users of all ages with beginner proficiencies, and will allow learners to test code they’ve written in a sandbox-like environment--a feature made possible by technology developed by Programmr, which lets users access programming languages directly from the web without pre-installed software or plugins.
