Schoolnet and Insight 360 Integration Simplifies Data Sharing

Two education technology companies are working together to make it easier for teachers to share data between their respective programs. Customers of Turning Technologies' Insight 360 software will be able to deliver their quiz, polling and other test results into Pearson's Schoolnet student improvement system.

The integration, available with Insight 360 version 2.6 and Schoolnet version 16.1, allows users to:

  • Import class rosters and assessments from a Schoolnet account;
  • Take self-paced tests in Insight 360 using imported assessments; and
  • Upload assessment results to a Schoolnet account.

Insight 360 is a classroom instruction program that lets teachers launch questions to students through their personal devices, such as a clicker or tablet, or on an interactive whiteboard and receive student responses that can be tracked against learning standards. Schoolnet is a set of applications for managing assessments, curriculum, instruction and reporting for data-guided decision making. Pearson acquired Schoolnet in 2011.

"Schoolnet aligns directly with our mission to manage, enhance and deliver instructional and assessment content in meaningful ways that improve learner success," said Turning's CEO Mike Broderick. "Combined with our powerful Insight 360 engine to deliver dynamic material, teachers are provided easily accessible, up-to-date information to implement lessons that will prove the most effective in developing student mastery."
