Assessment Tracker Adds Curricular Resources To Aid Struggling Learners

A new partnership between SAS Curriculum Pathways and SchoolCity’s STARS assessment and data management software lets teacher and student users of the latter access the former’s digital resources to bring struggling students up to speed.

The SAS resources aim to target higher-order thinking skills in particular, and include more than 1,000 Web-based resources in language arts, math, science, social studies, and Spanish. Resources incorporate both formative and summative assessments baked right in--an effort to help ensure students are grasping the materials.

By terms of the partnerships, students who perform poorly on an assessment logged by STARS are given automatic free access to SAS materials, as well as other resources to help address the learning gap. Students may not even notice they’re changing platforms, since an agreement between the two companies allows for single sign-on.

According to SAS, nearly 200,000 students and teachers are already using the digital materials throughout K-12. A demonstration on how to access the new resources is available online by requesting a demo.
