A Maryland school district is adopting new performance management software specifically to support the work of helping families who have young children with developmental disabilities and delays in the county. Anne Arundel County Public Schools will be deploying Efforts to Outcomes from Social Solutions Global.
Web-based Efforts to Outcomes provides functionality for enabling human services staff to monitor and manage evidence-based programs, build evidence to identify promising programs, and deliver reporting for staff, managers and administrators.
The Maryland implementation will support a multi-agency collaborative initiative managed by the school district and the Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth & Families. The program will support development of a centralized referral process and data management system to serve children from newborns to age five.
"This project is family-centered and features an enhanced level of collaboration among multiple public and private agencies that serve young children with disabilities and special health care needs," said Marcella Franczkowski, Maryland's assistant state superintendent for special education and early intervention. "We anticipate that this endeavor will have significant state and national implications in the design and delivery of outstanding services to children and families."
Funded by the state's departments of education and health and mental hygiene, the program will first be tested at Georgetown East Elementary School, which serves pre-K through grade five.
