Christie Expands High-Brightness Projector Line

Christie Q Series

Christie's DWX851-Q, DHD851-Q and DWU851-Q models boast 7,900, 7,500 and 7,900 ANSI lumens respectively.

Christie is adding three high-brightness 1-chip DLP projectors to its Q Series line. The new DWX851-Q, DHD851-Q and DWU851-Q models boast 7,900, 7,500 and 7,900 ANSI lumens respectively and are usable in either single- or dual-lamp mode.

Operational in portrait or landscape setup, the projectors offer a 2500:1 contrast ratio; Christie eClarity for control over image sharpness, gloss and shading; and built-in High Dynamic Contrast Range (HDCR), which helps eliminate image washout in high ambient light conditions while preserving image clarity, according to the company. Users can select from two built-in color wheels to suit their content and application: a High-Brightness color wheel for brighter whites and enhanced graphic presentations, or an Ultra-Rich color wheel for an expanded color palette. A software function enables easy switching between the color wheels.

Additional features include:

  • 2 HDMI inputs;
  • Dual 350W UHP lamps;
  • HDBaseT;
  • Edge blending and geometric correction;
  • DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) Simulation Mode for training;
  • Status monitor display;
  • Motorized zoom, focus and lens shift with memory; and
  • PC-less presentation.

The Christie Q Series models ship this month with a three-year warranty. For more information, visit the Christie site.
