Spanish iBooks Texts Updated

Breaking the Barrier, a company that specializes in print and digital language learning, has updated its iBook Spanish language series to help students in middle school, high school and college. All three levels of Breaking the Spanish Barrier include new video, audio and motion graphics.

Among the features of the revised editions are the following:

  • Audio recordings of all sample sentences by native speakers;
  • a virtual blackboard lesson in each chapter to highlight grammar points;
  • updated cultural information; and
  • a video introduction to each chapter.

"I'm more convinced than ever that the AP results and accolades that our graduates receive are a direct result of time spent in these Breaking the Barrier products," said Fort Worth Country Day teacher Bob Booth in a prepared statement. Booth added that he has taught from both the company's Spanish and French books for "almost 13 years."

Other education users have included teachers at private schools Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas and Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA, as well as Virtual Virginia, the distance education division of the Virginia Department of Education.
