Beagle Sense Offers Environmental Sensors Free for STEM Ed

Beagle Sense, a company that makes wireless sensors for use in STEM education, is offering its products free to schools in the United States and Canada.

Beagle sensors are smart, wireless devices that measure air quality, air pressure, humidity, temperature, light and noise levels indoors or out.

"Beagle Sense believes that STEM education (science, technology, engineering, math) is important for our future leaders, makers and innovators," according to a news release. "Through its Young Innovators Program, Beagle Sense is offering sensors to approximately 150,000 schools across the USA and Canada, which will engage students in STEM learning as active participants in how the sensors collect and process information on the environment around us."

"The idea for Beagle Sense came from our team's fascination with how our indoor environments can affect our health," said Beagle Sense founder John Criswick in a prepared statement. "By working with schools, we are providing an opportunity for teachers to engage and inspire young makers and future innovators by giving them the opportunity to be a part of technological development in action."
