New NEC Displays Can Control Multiple Monitors
Two
new displays from NEC Display Solutions can
be controlled from multiple monitors at the same time.
The
MultiSync 30-inch EA305WMi and 27-inch EA275WMi allow users to control as
many as six displays in a multi-monitor
configuration. While one monitor is established as the "master," users
are able
to control settings by channeling changes through the primary unit.
The
30-inch EA305WMi is a particularly good choice, according to NEC
officials, for
photography, video production and print. Meanwhile, the 27-inch
EA275WMi works
well for online content development.
Both
models also offer smart sensing technology that automatically makes
adjustment for
display brightness after analyzing work conditions and ambient light. A
comprehensive input panel allows the system to connect with a wide
number of
devices.
Both
displays include:
- Widescreen
panel with LED backlighting;
- 350
cd/m brightness and 8-bit color;
- 20,000:1
contrast ratio;
- An
adjustable stand; and
- Integrated
speakers and a headphone jack.
Each
model has a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty. Now available, the
30-inch
unit has an advertised price of $1,399 and the 27-inch unit a price of
$699.
The SpectraView software and calibration sensor can be bundled with
either
unit, making the price of the 30-inch display $1,549 and the 27-inch
display
$849.
"The
new displays give professionals new, powerful tools, especially when
using
multiple monitors," said Art Marshall, senior product manager for
desktop
displays at NEC Display Solutions. "The displays also include NEC's
environmental and productivity features, as well as NEC-exclusive
ControlSync
and human sensors."
