Promethean Updates Free Options With ClassFlow
Promethean's
latest enhancements to ClassFlow now
will give teachers ready-to-teach lessons, new collaboration tools and
a way to
reward students with digital badges.
ClassFlow
is free software that enables screen-sharing
capabilities across multiple platforms. Teachers can use it to take an
entire
classroom of students through a lesson together with a projector or
display. Likewise,
switching to individual instruction, teachers can "push" a Web site,
video, poll
or other digital content to students' devices. They also can control
students'
screens or display a student's screen to the whole class.
"We
added the most-requested capabilities based on what our teacher users
said
would have the greatest impact on them and their students," said
Promethean CEO
Jim Marshall. "Everything a teacher would do inside and beyond a
classroom is
now available for free."
With the
latest iteration of ClassFlow, teachers will have free access to a new
ClassFlow Marketplace where they can find thousands of interactive
lessons,
with new content added on a weekly basis. It also gives teachers and
students
the ability to create personal accounts so that teachers can create
assignments
and assessments specifically for certain students to work on
independently or
in small groups.
ClassFlow
Desktop can now be downloaded for free so that teachers can capture
anything
displayed on their computers and share it with students as interactive
lessons.
The software also now gives teachers a way to send digital badges to
students
to reward them for their performance or behavior.
Finally,
the new ClassFlow gives students the ability to work on projects as a
team,
enhancing flipped classroom situations or blended learning.
Teachers
who already have ClassFlow can download the new improvements by logging
into
their accounts. Those who do not yet have it, can sign up at ClassFlow.com.
