Texas Ed Agency Selects Blended Tutorials for Supplemental English Instruction

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has chosen a partner to provide high school English resources for the Texas Students Using Curriculum Content to Ensure Sustained Success (SUCCESS) program.

The Texas SUCCESS initiative aims to provide state-wide licenses for supplemental computer-based math and reading instruction.

Following a request for proposals, TEA selected Texas Tutorials for English I and English II from Apex Learning. The resources "are now available to districts and open enrollment charter schools across the state to support every student in meeting the expectations set by the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and raise achievement on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR)," according to a news release.

"We are honored to have been selected to participate in the Texas SUCCESS program," said Cheryl Vedoe, CEO of Apex Learning, in a prepared statement. "The quality of instruction and alignment to Texas standards of our digital curriculum were validated by the TEA's rigorous review process."
