SETDA Partners With 10 Ed Tech Startups
The State Educational Technology Directors
Association (SETDA) has
selected the startup companies that
will take part in its fourth annual Emerging Private Sector Partners program.
The companies selected will
be introduced at SETDA's upcoming Emerging
Technologies Forum June 25-26 in
Denver. They will have the opportunity then to meet SETDA members
and other
opportunities over the following year to take advantage of those
relationships as
they work to introduce their products to the educational technology
market.
According to SETDA Executive
Director Tracy Weeks, the 10 companies chosen were picked because of
their
capacity to leverage technology to fill the needs of PreK-12 education
that
state leaders perceive.
This year's companies are:
"When state educational
technology leaders are able to partner with emerging companies, both
win,"
Weeks said. "The state leaders learn about cutting-edge digital
learning
products and services. The emerging private sector partners get a
deeper
understanding of state-level policies, procedures and initiatives.
Ongoing
conversations have the potential of resulting in powerful technologies
that
truly serve to help solve state and district-level problems of
practice."
