Robo 3D Debuts 3D Printing Kit for STEM Ed
Robo 3D has introduced its STEM Education Kit to help teachers integrate 3D
printing and modeling into their classrooms. The announcement was made
at this week's ISTE 2016 conference and expo taking place in Denver, CO.
The
Robo 3D STEM Education Kit is a hands-on, project-based learning
curriculum that correlates to Common Core State Standards and Next
Generation Science Standards for grades K-8,
according to a news release. Projects covered in the curriculum include
making a boat, a rubber band rocket, a liquid container and others. The
kit is available with two different bundles. Bundle 1 is a basic bundle
with a 3D printer and two spools of filament, while bundle 2 adds more
spools of filament and a rolling cart.
The Robo 3D STEM Education Kit (Bundle 1) includes:
- R1+PLUS 3D printer;
- Blue and red 1 kilogram spools of PLA 3D printing material;
- Graphic LCD screen;
- Full lifetime access to edu.robo3d.com educational curriculum; and
- Phone and online technical support.
The Robo 3D STEM Education Kit (Bundle 2) includes everything from Bundle 1, plus:
- Black, white, green and specialty wood 1 kilogram spools of PLA 3D printing material; and
- 3D printer roller cart.
Bundle
1 is available for $999.99 with an 18-month extended warranty. Bundle 2
is available for $1,999.99 with a 30-month extended warranty.
